Hi there, this is Claudia. I'm Chris's wife. I'm the gal who created this website. Yep, I'm the beauty and the brains behind all this brawn...but don't tell the guys I said that.
And I do more than just magically put together The Copper Works website. I also have a totally invisible but multi-faceted role in this business.
I'm kind of reminded of those old 1960s TV Westerns, where you'd see the men out on the range all day, then they'd come in, dusty and dirty, to the immaculate ranch house, settling around a huge supper of roast beef, potatoes, gravy, corn-on-the-cob, homemade bread, and a lemon meringue pie and cookies a-waitin' on the sideboard. In the background there's always the Little Woman with her apron on, hair done up, smiling sweetly, and ready to serve on command. Well, that's me. I'm the Little Woman. Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. Animal Handler and Trainer. Housekeeper and Cheeleader. The Queen Bee.
Lest it be forgotten amid all this male artisan back-slapping and bravado (and my Leonine astrological sign won't let it be), I'm an artist, too!!! But like sad Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, my glory days are now fading into yellowed Playbills and fraying cast lists. ( "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close up.")
I've studied music, been onstage in community musical theater, sung in professional choirs, composed choral and orchestral pieces, been a recording artist with airplay on the radio. (By the way, if your computer plays Microsoft Media Player plug-ins, that's me you're listening to right now! Cool, huh?) I have a long list of artistic accomplishments that cross the gamut: from music to acting, conducting to composing, painting to cooking, home decorating to computer graphics, photography to writing. And I suppose you should throw my non-artistic background as legal secretary, computer trainer and home-based business owner into the mix, too.
So as you peruse this website, or when you see The Guys standing at the forefront extoling the virtues of their lovely fountains at an art show or at The Copper Works Gallery, remember this vitally, VITALLY important truth: Behind every successful man stands a good woman.
Uh-huh...'nuff said.
P.S. If you want a website done, or even a really fantastic brochure, just give me a ring! I might even sing you a song. |
